GNV GmbH was recently honored as the 100th Hidden Champion by Landesentwicklungsgesellschaft Thüringen mbH (LEG Thüringen). At a festive event, the company received the award as a global market and technology leader for its innovative solutions and outstanding position in international competition.
With this award, LEG Thüringen honors companies that stand out for their exceptional achievements in innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. In recent years, GNV GmbH has continuously established itself as a leading provider in the geothermal energy industry and is making a significant contribution to the economic development of the region. In addition to Mr. Maiko Klosch and Mr. Herbert Stütz from LEG Thüringen, Ms. Julia Schuster, representing the district administrator, and Mr. Steffen Bott, head of the municipal administration of the city of Geisa, attended the award ceremony and congratulated the company on its outstanding development.
What once began in a garage is now conquering the global market
The Geisa-based company specializes in the development and manufacture of distribution systems. Through continuous development, the company has succeeded in becoming a technology leader.
“We, the GNV team, have not only understood geothermal energy, we have reinvented it. What used to be manual labor is now high-tech. The garage has become an industrial company with over twenty employees, and geothermal distributors for single-family homes have become entire heating networks. Today, our systems supply schools, rehabilitation centers, and entire neighborhoods with economical and sustainable energy,” says Sandro Neumann, Managing Director of GNV GmbH.
But the young company is not waiting for the future—it is shaping it: a center for research and development, as well as the development of new markets such as distribution systems for seawater desalination plants, are already in the starting blocks, reveals the managing director.
“We are proud to be recognized as the 100th Hidden Champion. This honor is a confirmation of our work and our commitment to innovation,” says Neumann. “Our technologies and products have gained recognition not only nationally but also internationally. This is further motivation not only to deliver quality but to define it in order to further expand our market leadership.”
By naming the hundredth Hidden Champion, LEG Thüringen is highlighting the importance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the economic strength of the Free State. “These companies are the backbone of our economy and, with their innovative spirit, make a significant contribution to our competitiveness,” says Herbert Stütz, LEG Thüringen.
