GNV GmbH is delighted to announce that it has won the prestigious West Thuringia Initiative Award. The award recognizes the company’s commitment and innovative strength in promoting a sustainable energy transition.
The West Thuringian Initiative Prize is awarded annually to companies that distinguish themselves through innovative ideas and outstanding achievements in the areas of business, culture and social responsibility. The GNV GmbH team made an impressive impression with its “Luke” project and was selected by the jury as the winner in the business category. The award winners were honored at the traditional St. Martin’s Day celebration of the business association at Wartburg Castle.
GNV GmbH, based in Geisa in the Thuringian Rhön region, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of geothermal components. The second-generation family business has been developing and producing geothermal shafts, geothermal distributors, well shafts and ice storage systems since 2006. With “Luke”, they have created a fully automated robotic system for welding plastic manifold systems. This makes GNV GmbH a pioneer and market leader in the field of geothermal systems.

“With this development, GNV GmbH is setting another milestone for the implementation of a rapid heat transition and is making a fundamentally important contribution to the decarbonization of our society – in the Wartburg district,” said the District Administrator of the Wartburg district, Reinhard Krebs, enthusiastically in his laudatory speech at the award ceremony.
The West Thuringia Initiative Prize is awarded by an independent jury consisting of experts and representatives from business, politics and society. The jury particularly recognized the innovative strength of GNV GmbH and its commitment to the sustainable development of the region.
