In today’s world, where the focus is often on consumption, we want to fulfill our social responsibility as a company and make a positive contribution to society.
For this reason, we have decided to forego Christmas presents for employees, customers and business partners this year and instead make donations to three social projects. This decision reflects our corporate philosophy of assuming social responsibility and supporting projects and organizations that help people in need, animals and our environment.
Focus on social projects
The donations from GNV GmbH will go to three selected associations that focus on different areas.
The association RhönNatur e.V. – Association for the Promotion of Nature and Landscape is committed to the recording and renaturation of springs in the Rhön. RhönNatur e.V. provides a platform for nature and species conservation and carries out large-scale transnational nature conservation and landscape projects in Bavaria, Hesse and Thuringia. At the same time, the association implements the guiding principle of the biosphere reserve as a sustainable model region through its projects.
The association Helping Angels Gotha e.V. enables seriously ill people to fulfill their last heartfelt wish and works exclusively on a voluntary basis, financed by donations. The association has already been able to realize more than 140 wishes: Be it a trip to the Baltic Sea, a bike tour, a visit to the zoo, a last visit to their old home, the funeral of a close relative or a family reunion. The Helping Angels have made it their mission to fulfill these people’s often last wishes.
The association bmt – bund gegen missbrauch der Tiere e.V. campaigns nationwide and across federal states against the intensive industrial farming of animals in agriculture, animal testing and the exploitation of wild animals in zoos and circuses, hunting and fur production. In addition, small and large animals in need find a home in the animal shelters and sanctuaries.
By deciding to forego Christmas presents and instead invest in social projects, we want to show that social responsibility and economic success can go hand in hand. We hope that other companies will follow this example and work together to bring about positive change in our society.
